In a city where anything goes, at least in terms of fashion, the most impressive shows in London Collections: Men were the ones that proposed new silhouettes and ideas, yet were still grounded in reality. These five designers accomplished that delicate balance and introduced wearable spring/summer 2015 collections that would look as at home on the street as on the runway.

Scarf-tie blouses, drapey silk coats and scoopneck sweaters don’t immediately conjure visions of attractive male dressing. But the skimpy knits, blousy belted robes and off-duty pinstripes that came down a pink carpeted runway from J. W. Anderson were downright sexy. Ashley Brokaw’s brilliant casting of delicate yet menacing looking boys who marched to the beat of Venetian Snares’s haunting score “10th Circle of Winnipeg” was a great way to showcase the designer’s most wearable collection yet.
