The latest Alexander McQueen men’s collection has arrived in Asia and it’s a treat for men who love to wear jackets but are bored to death with checks, stripes or blue. For a season of glorious eclecticism where HK$100 jeans can be matched with $20,000 dollar jackets, McQueen is the go-to house for guys who put style ahead of convention. The autumn/winter collection, under the talented direction of Sarah Burton includes designs inspired by the stained-glass of Gothic cathedrals.
It’s going to be an exciting season to shop for all things McQueen. To celebrate 10 years of the iconic skull-print scarf, artist Damien Hirst has been asked to re-imagine the motif, and create 30 limited-edition scarves with a typical Hirst-infused twist. These will be available from mid-November.
The Alexander McQueen Autumn-Winter 2013 menswear collection is available at Lane Crawford in Hong Kong’s IFC and at the Elements mall in Tsim Sha Tsui.
