In the world of fine diamonds nobody does colour better than Graff. Founded in 1960 by Laurence Graff, the London based gem masters have poured their creative energies into crafting stones that harbour an astonishing range of colours, as if all the colours of the universe could be squeezed into the space of a few carats.

The one colour that you won’t find in a Graff diamond is “red” as in “blood”. The company adheres to the Kimberly process and will not knowingly buy or trade rough diamonds from areas where conflict or human suffering are fuelled by the trade in precious stones.

The majority of Graff diamonds are laser engraved with unique tracking numbers from the Gemological Institute of America, which allows their origin to be traced. For the company’s current team of designers, colour in diamonds represents a kind of poetry.

“There are more than a hundred colours that a human eye can register, from the day we are brought to this universe,”

says the house in its latest release of important stones.

“Different shades influence us in the most magical way, the same goes with the ever-gleaming diamonds and gemstones: Yellow Diamonds give us warmth as we remember the brightest ray of the sun; Emeralds bring us hope as we see the blooms and grows in springtime; Pink Diamonds fill our hearts with romance as we taste the sweetness of love.”  Daniel Jeffreys
